|10:26 am - She's Got a Body Like an Hourglass; It's Ticking Like a Clock|
Welcome back from your three-day weekend, U.S. Americans! If you happen to have missed it, please check out my post featuring free music and hot female bassists. Then, if your thirst for music is still not satiated, you can go to my audiography post.
People skilled in the art of image manipulation, I have a question for you! Say that in the month of February, you had a totally awesome time doing awesome things with awesome people from an awesome television show. Say you took over a hundred pictures and would like to share them with your lovely friends on LiveJournal. What is the easiest way to resize all those pictures and post them to LJ Scrapbook? You don't fancy resizing each one individually, before or after uploading. There has to be an easier way, in this golden age of technology!
Now for some links to pad this entry out.
Office fans: if you have not seen what the office did on summer vacation, go! NBC has always made really great Office promos. Note that this does feature new material (filmed for the promo), so it is mildly spoilery for...hair. Also, remember that S3 DVDs come out today!
Avatar fans: if you have not seen The Angst, starring Prince Zuko, go! Then watch everything this guy has done, including Avatar: The Abridged Series, which will make your face hurt from laughing.
In conclusion, I saw The Sound of Music for the first time on Friday night, and it was pretty great. I stake my claim on wet Liesl, forty years too late.
Current Mood: contemplative
Current Music: Filter - Hey Man Nice Shot
I'm pretty certain that you can use Picasa to batch-resize large quantities of images. I've never used it, though, so I can only help as far as a link. Google does everything
Ooh, thanks, I'll look into that.
The Sound of Music is the best! I have seen it probably 30 times over the years and even own the DVD. Parts are a bit boring, but overall, it's a great movie. And I worshipped Liesl as a child and totally wanted to be her, all pretty in the rain with a hot boyfriend. Hee.
A hot NAZI boyfriend.
Okay, he wasn't a Nazi during the hot rain scene.
"Also, the little putz had hair back then. I don't know why he's balding already."
Okay, that line blurted an embarrassingly loud "HA!" out of me.
Mocking with love is the best kind of mocking.

I do all my batch re-sizing, cropping, conversions and whatnot with Irfanview
. But I have no idea how to batch load images to LJ scrapbook. I'm assuming there'd be some place on LJ that would tell you whether or not that's possible, but I know not where.
recommended IrfanView too, and I downloaded it, but I can't figure out how to batch resize. I can batch convert to lower quality or something, but how do you batch resize? The FAQ says you have to do them all individually.
Oh! I just clicked your link! And I never noticed the "Advanced options" button! I don't think I have one! Maybe it doesn't come in the free version?? Is there, er, some way to get around that?
I learned yesterday that you can batch load images with Semagic! IT REALLY IS MAGIC.
I don't particularly care for The Sound of Music. But! I love that Office promo. Quick, weigh in. NewYorkRyan: skeezy or awesome?

I like your title! Because I'm a girl. A little girl.
Hee. And did you notice the Filter? You're so vain, I bet you think this post is about you.
Also, Hayley Williams is a hot little redhead.
Ooh. That might work too. Though it looks like the Advanced Image Resizer is more what I need. Do you know what the restrictions on the free trial are?
"That's strange, how'd I end up in an iceburg pinata?"
I think that's when I started laughing like hell myself, because it was the moment it went from "light mocking of what actually happens in the episode" to "making up ridiculous shit that still fits with what actually happens in the episode."
Omigod, The Sound of Music is pretty much one of my all-time favorite movies. I can quote the whole of it. Wet Liesl - hee!
And I'm totally buying the Office season 3 dvds today. Off to Target I go!
Hey, Canada Canadians also celebrated "Labor Day", we just spell it differently.
You just "The Sound of Music". Wow. I've been watching it from before my eyes could focus. It was a Christmas tradition. Did you notice that the guy who plays Friedrich grew up to play Peter Parker/Spider-man on TV in the 70's?
Really? I had no idea. How strange.
You can do it on Photoshop, if you have Photoshop. There's an automate batch command.
I don't have Photoshop. I am so not l33t.

The Weather's Daddy doesn't love it!
"Remember, Ang, if you ever find yourself trapped under water, do not freeze yourself into a block of ice like a complete idiot."
"Man, I guess I really screwed the pooch on that one!"
That really was a totally stupid move on Aang's part, and it's time someone came out and said it!
I stake my claim on wet Liesl, forty years too late.
But she's only 16 going on 17, you perv. Or, you know, in her late fifties.
I was thinking Ryan was hot until he made that dating a black girl comment. Now I feel guilty for thinking he's hot.
But she's only 16 going on 17, you perv.
Shh! She's actually 23!
I was thinking Ryan was hot until he made that dating a black girl comment.
That was so awful. I mean, he's not THAT clueless. *smack*

Everywhere like such as.
The Sound of Music is one of my absolute favorite movies!! I also suggest Google's Picasa for resizing an assload of photos. I don't know how to get them from Picasa to LJ scrapbook, but you can link to the online photo album. That's what I did with my Norway pictures, because there was no way I was going to individually resize all 355 of them.
