|07:00 pm - Rob Thomas Thanks You|
"Oooh! Yay! Elevens for ep 11. I'm all excited. MM said good things, so there's buzz. We should reinforce the buzz, spread the buzz. We have that kind of power. (Fourth M indeed)."
"I wish him luck (and hopefully, naked Mac, soon)."
"I'm sure RT will do a wonderful job, because he's awesome."
"I'm confident that RT will do an excellent job, but pass along my good wishes anyway."
"I am sure that RT will be amazing. As long as he does justice to Lamb and Logan, all will be well with me. Heh."
"Rob kicks ass and will deliver a kick ass episode. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind. But never-the-less, I wish him the best of luck."
"Make Lamb look pretty."
"Remember to have fun with the directing. Everyone will thank you for not going too crazy about it."
"Rob'll be fine. He's the new Aeschylus, remember."
"I wish RT Good Luck, or Break a Leg, or...whatever is appropriate for people directing their first episode of television."
"Good luck directing Rob!! We know it's gonna be awesome! Hopefully I can say this in person right before this premieres in Austin..."
"Good luck, Rob! Bring it on! I can hardly wait."
"Rob, no matter what, we have faith in you. Best of luck to your directorial debut, and above all, have a blast!"
"Rob, you're a star - teacher, musician, author, creator, writer, show-runner. Directing will be a piece of cake. Facile. Love it, enjoy it, wing it. In Rob we trust."
"Rob! The Robinator! Rob-a-loba-ding-dong! Rob-a-dub-dub! The Thomasizer! Directing! Making direction! Using the director set! Rob!"
"Good luck, and of course the final product will rock. No pressure, or anything. You've got a head start on any other director, as this is all your vision to begin with."
"Rob, we know that you're a control freak, so I'm sure you'll do just fine. And if by chance things aren't going your way, and the scenes aren't clicking, just keep this shot in mind: Kristen in a bikini and the boys in boxers. Sex sells!
I just hope you don't pass out from exhaustion from all the writing, directing, music selecting, and baby nurturing. And if you do happen to feel light headed, please remember, when you faint, aim away from Kristen. You don't want to crush her with your muscular bod."
"Rob, I'm sure you'll do great.
(Yeah, that's pretty unoriginal, but I'm bad at this kind of thing. I assure you it's heartfelt.)"
"As for Rob, let him know that some of the best Buffy eps were directed by Joss, that I look forward to seeing how he's able to fully realise his writer's vision in an episode that he himself has directed and that he has my undying affection for his repeated allusions to The Sweet Hereafter, which continues to be one of the best films I've ever seen. I wish him the best of luck, as well as days that go to plan, with little overtime or hassles."
"Good luck, Rob! You're gonna be awesome.
*subliminal message for Rob:
doooon't forgeeet the shout-ooooouuuut's to mi.neeeeeeeeeetters*"
"Uh...tell Rob I'm already his subservient bitch, so as long as he doesn't actually kill Logan in this ep, I'm sure it'll be cool like the Fonz."
"Good luck on taking up the director's post.
Watch out for Kristen Bell. She is a bit of a prankster. Double check that your bathroom hasn't been tampered with before using it. Double check the script pages too. She may just try to sneak some Logan/Lamb love scenes in, if you don't watch her.
I am really looking forward to watching this episode with you, the cast and hundreds of die-hard fans, if I am lucky enough to get a ticket. If it is scarey, will you hold my hand? And if it is sad, will you hold my kleenex box? I am sure this will be a great episode whatever happens.
Kick ass and have a blast!"
"Good luck, Rob! I know you'll do a great job."
"Good luck! I'm completely confident that you'll do fabulously, and the episode shall be just as awesome as they've all been. :D"
"PS, tell Rob Logan and Veronica should never get back together. Just for a change from what he usually hears. ;P"
"Rob, may you, the cast and crew be as inspired to make your first ep behind the lens as fantastic an experience as watching the first 28 eps has been for all of us. We love you."
"Rob, never forget the secret of directing: stirrup pants, newsboy cap, megaphone. And don't worry about those talking pictures. They're just a fad, I tells ya. You'll be big... Mack Sennett big!"
"Good luck on your directorial debut. I know you'll do your script and the show proud. Can't wait to see this one! Ooh, and how about pulling a Hitchcock? Give yourself a hidden cameo. That would be fun for all."
"ZOMG ROB DO GOOD YAY."
"I know I'm too late on this but I wanted to join in wishing Rob a fantastic experience. You have inspired us, obsessed us, turned a television show into a compelling universe we long to visit and given us so many unforgetting moments and more things to think about that the human brain can comprehend. If it helps just think of us all sitting around as the final moments of VM end with bits of exploded brain everywhere. Break a leg and have a great show - to put it in my theatrespeak."
Thanks for sending these along. I am humbled by all the affection. We've completed five of the eight days of shooting, and it's gone very well. The proof, however, will be in the editing room.
Lucy Lawless and Ken Marino were both great.
Current Mood: lonely
Current Music: Apocalyptica - Quutamo (Wie Weit Version)
You just had to include my Lamb looking pretty statement, huh? Hee.
You'll end up getting a walk-on at this rate, dude.
Ha. If only I were actually in the area.
You can be the lost Casablancas child - Bryce (because the name Bryce is funny).
Aw, yay! Is it time for Ep 11 yet?

VINNIE VAN LOWE!!!
I wasn't a huge fan (he seemed a little too over-the-top, like he belonged on a completely different show), but I hope he's used well.
And Lucy Lawless has great taste. First BSG, now VM.
*runs around in circles of GLEE*
How can you be lonely after last night?

Aww, I'm only sad I didn't get to add my two cents. But good to hear everythings going well.
And Vinnie's back? More continuity crack!

Ha, I forgot you said you were going to do that! I'm glad my comment got in there. Even if you don't get a walk-on, I think you're at least building up to a pretty amazing shoutout! I foresee a character named "Sunil" in VM's future. Hee. That was nice of you to pass all those along.

Hey - I did make it. Thanks so much for doing this and for including my wishes. Now we just have all the suckable waiting to go through. Well, hopefully the holidays will provide a little distraction.
Count me in hoping you get a character named after you or a shoutout of some kind.

I don't know what you're good lucking (your) Rob Thomas about. But I'll go read "Rats Saw God" again as penance.
Veronica Mars is starting here next Monday night! Woo! Of course, I thought of you.
I hope it lives up to your wildest expectations!
Nobody here has even heard of Veronica Mars. I'm sad not to know what all the fuss is about. :(
Dude, we totally have a German on our webteam.

I noticed Ken Marino was in Dawson's Creek, is that how he was introduced to Rob Thomas?
Hm, interesting! That may be partly responsible, but I don't think it was a direct result. Rob only wrote for the first season or two, and Ken Marino wasn't on until the fifth.
Whoo! I love Lucy!
