|09:40 pm - Veronica Mars Soundtrack Exclusive!|
The Veronica Mars soundtrack will be released September 27th on Nettwerk Records.
Your friends at MI.net provide you with the complete track list, along with information about the songs and bands.
Now, here's a game: figure out which two blurbs I wrote.
Current Mood: giddy
Current Music: Dandy Warhols - We Used to Be Friends
Rock the fuck on!! You guys rule.
For those of you who remember the '80s, Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran co-produced.
No fucking way! That's so wrong. And yet, cool! I used to love Duran Duran way back when.
What? I was 12! I'm not going to do the math, because that way lies a scary reality.
You most definitely wrote about Tegan and Sara. Was there even any doubt?
There is, actually. alliterator
claimed them before I could, the bastard.
Now, here's a game: Figure out why Sunil isn't on AIM, talking to the KB!

I was already working on the post before your reminder. You must think I'm sloooooow.
I'll be the bitchy fan who is pissed that there isn't more music from S1 on the soundtrack. *colors self disappointed* I do like the bands chosen though so maybe I should just be grateful.
Don't worry. We are all those bitchy fans. Some of us just won't start a huge kerfuffle about it.

interesting that they chose to put so many season two songs on there. i guess rob figures that most of us have already dled the songs from season one and we'll be more likely to buy the album with all of these new songs. smart man....
You sneaky bastard, online and hiding. And you expect us to participate in your little game? I think NOT.
Tracks 2 and 5?
Track 2 is correct!
Track 5 is not.
..I'm kinda annoyed that there's only like, three songs from the first season. I dunno. Mainly, I just wish the song from Lilly's tribute video was on there, since it seems no one can find it ANYWHERE.
Four! Not three! Heh.
The song from the tribute video is Damone's "Now Is the Time." No one can find it because it hasn't been released anywhere. It certainly would have been cool to debut it on this CD, but who knows about what sorts of label and rights issues go into this businesss. Hopefully, they'll put it on their next album.
Wait a second, there was music on the show? When?
I saw both Mike Doughty and Spoon in concert last Friday as two of the opening bands for The Killers. Guess I should have paid more attention.
I definitely think you wrote number 12.
And I'm totally into the Dandy Warhols right now. May I recommend their song "Get Off"?
Well done! You get a cookie. Or maybe a smushed cake.
"Get Off," huh? We'll see. Maybe I'll GET ON, INSTEAD!
The soundtrack will be such a hipster fan's wet dream.
I'm disappointed not to see Lilly and Veronica's flashback-karaoke-feature-song "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls on the soundtrack. But I guess the soundtrack WAS trying to exercise good taste.
I'd love it if Kristen Bell would've done a non-hammy cover of "One Way"....
I have no idea which one you wrote, but I appreciate the track listing and all the info. I thought it was weird that I recognized so few songs from the first season.
We've also posted the press release
. Would you mind posting the link in the music thread? It will offically allay people's fears that there are songs on the soundtrack that won't be used on the show.
I'm really excited about Format being on the soundtrack. I love "First Single," and all the other tracks I've heard by them have been pretty good. And YAY for Tegan and Sara!
