|04:19 pm - Heavens to Betsy!|
Lush is alive.
We all figured she was hungover and in bed, perhaps with a sexy Italian.
She was in the King's Cross station at the time of the explosion. A different area altogether, such that she had no idea what was going on when the panic started.
So she called her mom and told her not to worry, she and her friend would take the bus home.
Then a bus exploded. Thankfully, not hers.
feeley20: Aw, thanks!
feeley20: I'm sorry you guys were worried!
spectralbovine: I cried!
feeley20: I got online as soon as I could.
feeley20: Thank you guys for being concerned, though.
feeley20: That was very sweet of you.
spectralbovine: Of course we were concerned!
feeley20: It really was kind of intense. Either that, or I'm just a sissy, heh.
That's study abroad for you. See another country! Learn about their culture! Almost get blown up!
InigoMontoya is also safe.
I have a lot of extended family members in London. One of them? Is a bus driver. But he's all right. I don't know about many of the others, though. When I called my mom to ask if everyone was all right, she hadn't even heard about the bombings.
I sincerely hope that all of your loved ones are all right, and my thoughts are with the people of London. Some good resources are the Wikipedia entry and london_070705, which has two posts to keep track of the people who are safe, and another post to announce whom you're looking for. cindywrites and tiggz are keeping track of Bronzers.
Please, if you have any information about the whereabouts of anyone, let someone know. It's an awful, awful feeling not to know. Back when the tsunami hit, I was on the complete other end of India and people were still worried about me.
*hugs* for everyone!

I'm glad your family member and friends are okay. I've been trying to reach my family in London, especially my cousin who works for National Rail but the circuits have been busy. His Mom is in Jamaica now and I can't reach her to see if she heard from him because of Hurricane Dennis. I just feel rather useless at this point. Thanks for posting those links.
*wishes she could grab onto Lushy by the ankle and never let go*
Wouldn't that make it a little hard to make out?
"She was in the King's Cross station at the time of the explosion"
Fucking hell. Am sincerley glad she wasn't a victim.
I hope all your relatives are safe and unharmed.
*hugs* for you.
Holy Jesus you! God I suck. I don't even know whether you're actually in London or not, but I'm glad you're okay.
You don't suck at all.
I am nowhere near London. Safe (I hope) over here in Wales. :)
A few friends (one ex-girlfriend) I am still waiting to hear from, but I'm trying not to worry too much, because its very possible I only have old phone numbers for them.
That's a sensible anti-worry stategy, yeah?
Just after I pressed the post button got a text message accounting for a mini-collective of London mates.
So just the ex. Who probably has a new phone number. *feels better&
You just made me feel 100x better. Of course, since I am a loser and don't read the newspaper or listen to the radio OR watch the news, I find out all my information from fucking Yahoo! News. I was just about to lose my shit when I read your entry.

Isn't Yahoo News the worst? I remember when they had the Pope as dead hours before it actually happened and had to change their headline. They're propensity for exaggeration is sickening.
God, poor Irons just checked in at the MM that they can't find Ethan or Trip. How fucking scary.
It's just awful. I'm happy to hear that your family is alright. I was a bit concerned about a couple of friends for most of the day, but as of tonight, all accounted for. It's disturbing to have that frantic need to immediately track down the people I know again.
Wow, how scary for her! Thankfully my cousin and her husband who live in London are in Canada right now. I hope all of your family members are okay.
I totally cried when you were in India and the tsunami hit. That was a bad time.
Stupid world and not having everyone in the same place so we can all constantly keep tabs on each other. *shakes fist*
Very, very glad that everyone you know in London is okay. Also: very, very happy to see the outpouring of love and of geniune help from all LJers. It makes me very happy to see all those people on the community chipping in and helping out. I wish I could do something.
(OT - You like Fungus Amongus? I didn't think anyone still (or ever?) listened to that. Funk-rock on.)
My brother got it for me a couple Christmases ago cause I'm a huge Incubus fan (he is as well). It's good stuff, incredibly fun! And I can't believe they were only like fifteen or something when they recorded it. Also, they change their sound with every album, and they rock every time.
Azwethinkweiz is my favorite early Incubus song (from their Enjoy Incubus ep). It makes absolutely no sense but you're right, it's fun. Those crazy kids.
I don't have that one! Or anything else off that EP that isn't also on Fungus Amongus.
Oh? What's this?
You've gotta look up the lyrics. They're hysterical. What a bunch of stoners.
