|10:43 pm - I Guess Even a Weird Dude Like You Can Have a Friend|
Attention, all fans of Chuck and The Sarah Connor Chronicles! I am going to be representing RTVW Online at WonderCon this year. Which gets me into the press room! Two of my favorite shows are having panels on Sunday, and I will get to be in a little room with a bunch of other journalists/bloggers asking the panelists questions!
So if you're a Chuck fan with a question for Josh Schwartz, Chris Fedak, Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin, or Joshua Gomez or a Sarah Connor Chronicles fan with a question for Josh Friedman, Summer Glau, or Shirley Manson, let me know! I'll come with my own questions, but it's good to have backups.
You know, I love the friendship between Chuck and Morgan on principle, but...I'm still not quite sure I get it. There seems to be a lot more tell than show. I like Morgan more than I used to, but he's still...Morgan.
Yet, I marvel at the inventiveness of this show. When it first premiered, it seemed like it would get old fast, but I think it's managed to remain fresh and entertaining, despite how much it stretches the limits of plausibility.
Most Awesome exchange of the night:
"Have you ever had a dream that didn't come true?"
The Amazing Heroes
Uh, this was no "Company Man." And it was kind of stupid. The episode begins with "Man, there's no way I can just get inside his head! He's too powerful!" And then...he just gets inside his head. Even after he's not drugged anymore. He just concentrates a lot and makes the camera skip and boom, black-and-white. So...okay.
What did we learn? IT WAS NATHAN'S IDEA OMG!! Uh...I thought we already knew that. I thought EVERYONE knew that. I thought it was OBVIOUS. Why are they surprised at all? BENNET HELPED COOK UP THE PLAN! Okay, that's a little new but not too surprising. BENNET TOLD MOHINDER!!! All right, that was interesting. Also interesting is everyone's conclusion that Zeljko is in fact running the operation at this point. Except that there have been SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES for someone to tell him that Nathan has powers. It's fucking annoying.
The best part, of course, is that Bennet is TOTALLY PLAYING EVERYBODY THANK GOD, and he's formed some sort of unholy partnership with Angela Petrelli? I don't know how or why that works, but whatever, maybe it's a really cool watch that shoots lasers or something.
Mostly, however, the episode was MATT FLIPPING THE FUCK OUT GEEZ. And Peter flying around. And Mohinder saying stuff. I don't know why it felt dumb and weird, but they felt like versions of the characters just for this episode.
ALSO OH YEAH DAPHNE IS ALIVE WOOOOOOOOOOOOO. GO AND SAVE HER YOU GOONS. I NEED MY CUTE SPEEDSTER CHICK BACK.
Current Mood: shocked
Current Music: Garbage - I Think I'm Paranoid
I think that's a popular question! I'm sure it'll be asked. I wonder if he's answered it somewhere before.
