|12:02 pm - The Finest Taste in Music jeeperstseepers Has Ever Encountered|
The lyrics meme seems to be making the rounds again (hobviously and glitterlust, good show), and I love music and lyrics and this meme, and it's Friday, so here we go. I went through Pipsqueak, which means all the music is stuff I really love or am into currently (or...a few weeks ago, I haven't loaded up some of my newer acquisitions). I nixed songs whose title was contained in the first line, and I also did not repeat artists. And I didn't use some songs with very few lyrics. And I was arbitrary about some selections. Sue me. No one alive can get all twenty-five, as at least one isn't even Googleable.
All right, music lovers: have at it.

3. Rilo Kiley - A Better Son/Daughter
4. Muse - Time is Running Out
i probably know a few more, but this is hard to do when i'm listening to music.
Hee. I knew you'd get those! There's at least one more I know you should get.
1. Nirvana 'Smells like Teen Spirit'
4. Muse 'Time is Running Out'
24. Sufjan Stevens 'Chicago' - it was because of you that i first heard this song. thank you.

4. Time Is Running out - Muse
22. Elevator Love Letter - Stars
24. Chicago - Sufjan Stevens
I knew you'd get 22! Heh.
So apparently everyone knows "Time Is Running Out." Well done, flist.
Okay, I knew... three. And they've all been guessed.
*hangs head in shame*
Aww, I'm sorry! Which ones did you know? I'm not striking out immediately so as not to discourage people.

16. This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race - Fall Out Boy
Ha. You BETTER get that one, you.
3. Rilo Kiley - A Better Son/Daughter
22. Stars - Elevator Love Letter
Some of the others sound familiar, but I can't name them. Two out of twenty-five ain't bad, right? (Don't answer that.)
Goodness, only three of them immediately come to me. Pathetic.
But yay! I'm the post's Subject! (I won't point out that I said you have some of the finest taste in music...)
Oh, I guess I should say whic I know. I didn't realize you were doing this all contest-like. Muse, Sufjan, and Interpol.
Aha, see! You get to go on the list, being the first to guess the Interpol.
14. Filter- "The Best Things"#2
sounds incredibly familiar....must ponder...
P.S.- Hi P-C! It's been awhile since I've talked all my f'listers. Hope you're doing well! :)
Hiiii! Dude, we have the same music taste, so you should be getting a lot more of these.
14 is right. I don't know if you know 2. I doubt most people do.

Ooh, fun! The easy ones are done already, but:
2. Ladytron, "Blue Jeans"
And I need to know what 5 is, because I collect LA songs.
YAY! HAAAAA. Look right above you. That's hilarious. I love "Blue Jeans." I didn't think anyone would get it.
Someone will get 5 eventually, I think. It's a fabulous L.A. song.
12. "Sex is Not the Enemy," Garbage!
23. "Le Disko," Shiny Toy Guns!
20. Guster - "Barrel of a Gun"
This is my favorite meme.
23. Shiny Toy Guns - Le Disko
Ooh, you were beaten by three minutes, but I'll give it to you anyway!

- THETAWAVES - SYSTEM OF A DOWN
the senses collet undeniable data about beta carotene and thetawaves
. Dresden Dolls, Sex Changes
I only know one that hasn't already been guessed - 15. "Telescope Eyes," by Eisley.
And that's a very Eisley icon.
Wow, that's really hard. I got "Chicago", but that was it. This was educational, because now I realize that I don't actually know the lyrics to any Nirvana songs. I listen to their music all the time, but I can't actually spontaneously produce any of the lyrics.
But come on! You have to know the opening of "Smells Like Teen Spirit," at the very least!
Some Nirvana lyrics are very strange.
OHHH YEA. It's been over a year but i don't think i looked a this when you first posted it...number 17 is Dismantle Me by The Distillers C:
Ha! I'll give you credit for it in the latest one, since it showed up again.
