02:01 am - We Love the Battle (What?) Star Galactica
There are two things I am very happy about: the existence of "Lazy Sunday" and the return of Battlestar Galactica this Friday. Okay, there are more than two things, but those are the only two that are relevant.

Apologies to Chris Parnell and Andy Samberg.

"Lazy Friday"
A BSG filk by Polter-Cow and spectralbovine

Lazy Friday, wake up in the late 8 o'clock
Call P-C just to see if he'll talk

Hello?
What up, Cow?
Yo, Bovine, what's cracking?
You thinking what I'm thinking? (Galactica!) Then it's happening.

Let's tell all of our friends to pop up like toasters.
Just hit up that Kinko's and mack on some posters.
No doubt that copy place has got all the bomb road maps.
I love those posters like Adama loves slow claps.

Two, no six, no twelve, MANY COPIES!
I told you that I'm crazy for these posters, Boxey.

Yo, when's the new ep showing?
Ten o'clock here, dude.
Well, let's post on b.org to find some dope recruits.
I prefer MySpace. (That's a site of poo.)
LiveJournal is the best.
True dat. (DOUBLE TRUE!)

Liberty and State St. (Step on it, sucka!)
What you want to do, Spec?
SNACK ATTACK, MUTHAFUCKA!

The Battle (What?) Star Galactica.
Yes, the Battle (What?) Star Galactica.
We love the Battle (What?) Star Galactica.
Fight that Battle (What?) Star Galactica.

Yo, stop at Potbelly, my fridge is understocked.
You got the coupon? (Gonna risk getting mocked.)
Don't want the checkout girl to act capricious.
Mocha shake and fresh chips equals crazy nutritious.
Yo, reach in my pocket, pull out some dough.
The girl acted like she'd never seen a one befo'.
It's all about the Washingtons, baby.
Throw the snacks in a bag and sackh off like Katee.

Roll up to the living room, dollar paying for their watching them.
You can call us cherry tree from the way we're dropped by Washingtons.
Now tuned to SciFi, BG trivia get my style on.
"What human gods could be built by a Cylon?"
We answered so fast like a snowball.
Everyone stared in awe when we screamed, "LORDS OF KOBOL!"

Now quiet in the living room or I'll glare like Adama.
We're about to get taken to a spaceship of drama.

The Battle (What?) Star Galactica.
Yes, the Battle (What?) Star Galactica.
We love the Battle (What?) Star Galactica.
Fight that Battle (What?) Star Galactica.

I LOVE YOU.

Dude, this cheered me so. YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW.

I LOVE THOSE POSTERS LIKE ADAMA LOVES SLOW CLAPS!

TWO, NO SIX, NO TWELVE! MANY COPIES!

Dude, this cheered me so. YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW.

Yaaaaay. I'm so glad to hear that.

I LOVE THOSE POSTERS LIKE ADAMA LOVES SLOW CLAPS!

Heee. That was really the catalyst. My first thought for that was "like Adama loves Starbuck," but I couldn't get anything to rhyme properly. But when I thought of "Adama loves slow claps" and rhymed it with "road maps" and realized "posters" rhymed with "toasters"...suddenly, I had a plot!

TWO, NO SIX, NO TWELVE! MANY COPIES!

That is definitely one of my favorite lines. I also can't stop cracking up at the snowball/Kobol rhyme.

This is awesome. But I think I'd enjoy it more if I watched the show and understood things, heh. Still! Could this possibly be made into a phone post? Heh.

There are certainly some things that would be much funnier if you watched the show. And I definitely thought about turning it into a PhonePost, but I feel like it wouldn't sound as good without the accompanying music. Also, I'd screw it up. There are a couple places where the rhythm isn't as intuitive as it could be.

You know, that SNL skit was just played for me the day before yesterday. I have to think that it was put in my path almost entirely so I can appreciate your brilliance a little more intensely.

You geek.

TWO, NO SIX, NO TWELVE! MANY COPIES!

Hee! Reminds me of the Terry Pratchett's troll march: "Sound off! One, two. Sound off! Many, lots. Sound off! Er, what?"

"What human gods could be built by a Cylon?"

Everyone stared in awe when we screamed, "LORDS OF KOBOL!"

I've seen every episode but I don't understand that connection.

There are fun theories floating around (and I think I talked about them myself in one post, probably "Home, Part 2") that the notion of "Everything has happened, and everything will happene again" can be taken in a quite literal sense. Humans build Cylons that evolve into humans that build Cylons that evolve into humans, etc. Thus, the "Lords of Kobol" could very well have been Cylons. Which would explain why the Cylons know so much about them.
