11:19 pm - Curiosity or Arrogance?
I watched "Epitaph One" and "Epitaph Two" back-to-back tonight, and I have one word:

Topher.

I follow that with one more word:

"Bedtime!"

(Because it made me giggle hysterically the first time, then get all sad the second time I watched it.)

Topher broke my heart. COMPLETELY.

Although Adelle was completely made of win.

He just killed me. I could barely take his crazy scene in "Epitaph One," knowing what was coming up.

Although Adelle was completely made of win.
True.

The interesting thing is I never saw "epitaph one" at the end of the first season. But I did get a heads up that "epitaph two" would make less sense without it so my boyfriend and I had a mini marathon on Friday watching two episodes, switching to DVD for "one" and then back to watch "two". I can't imagine how confusing the opening for "one" must have been at the end of the first season.

And yes, Topher's arc was brilliant.

That's exactly why we watched it. Lisa and Rick hadn't seen it either, so I showed it to them and then we kind of had to watch the finale after.

Ha, yeah, it's not like the first season really had the apocalypse looming over it the way the second season did.

And yes, Topher's arc was brilliant.
I think he and Walter Bishop should compare notes. His story is such a great look at ~*GENIUS*~ and how good science can be perverted with bad motives.

Topher...

I hurt. I miss him. One of the best characters ever written.

Though, the change in Alpha was great too. He's just a FUN character, bad or good:

"It spoke to the schizophrenic in me... well, both of them."
"Did he just call me a Luddite?"
